Trend Alert: Palazzo Pant

New trouser shape of Spring/summer has arrived. This range of amazing Palazzo trousers and Palazzo pants have got everyone talking. When you will look at the display of the shops and outlets, there are various kinds of fabric and designs to choose from according to one's body type and height.

As per Wikipedia, women's trousers with very wide legs are known as Palazzo Pant/Trousers [palazzo from Italian, literally: palace]. The trend came in 1970's and now back in closets of fashionista.  Lets learn How to wear Palazzo pants as it's one of my favourite kind of this season. i wish to have one soon.

Wear palzzzo Trousers in prints and the fabric with flow like chiffon and georgette and Lycra.

If you are brave enough to carry bold and super bright colours, try with colors like, Fuchsia pink, canary yellow and Blue while wearing palazzo.

Palazzo pants can be worn for a casual day and bright color will make it look a class apart.

Palazzo in Pastel  colors

I am an avid fan of pastel colors as well as bright ones. I equally love both of the hues. But Palazzo Pant in pastel colors is always a winner.

Palazzo in pastel color can make you look million bucks if combined with right accessories. For me, the look is best in the evenings.

Romu Shrestha in her Palazzo Pant in Earthy Brown color. I must admit she has a very classy and elegant way of wearing clothes which I really like.

Palazzo in Prints 

While i am not a very good fan of palazzo in prints and cotton fabrics, they who wear it always claim that it has the most comfortable feel, perfect for summer. If you have beaches around and dont want to show that much skin, this is the best choice.

Black & White Palazzo

Can anyone go wrong with Black or white ? Nay. And this applies for the Palazzo pants as well. It looks vintage, classy and has old world charm of the 60s era. Add some golden cuffs and right accessories, you are ready to go.

Palazzo as Salwaar in Traditional Wear

While palazzo was a trend in west and still a rage in fashion, it can be combined in Asian wear as well in the form of 'Salwaar' in the Salwaar suits (Kurta Suruwal). Many Indian and Pakistani designers have been making it work in Indian wear. My favorite ones are from latest collection of Manish Malhotra. Why not to get some ideas from them ?

What to look for while wearing a Palazzo Pant:

• Chhose from the material like georgette, Lycra and chiffon to wear palazzo as  the evening wear. 
• Wear Moderate or High heels bcoz Palazzo doesn't look that good in flats. 
• While wearing palazzo, always tuck in the top/shirt. 
• If possible wear belts. 
• Blazers can look classy with palazzo (though i dont have any pictures of it here), choose according to your height. Short  length Blazers will look good with good heights.

A Mother's Diary

People say what's in the date ! But i know. When i look back into the date July 29, 2011; a joy fills over my body and soul. I still have butterflies in my stomach and what not !! The date is itched in my life as i beacme a MOTHER for the 1st time in my life. It's precious because i got to know what it really feels like to be a Mom and gradually knew what it takes to be a Mom in real world. 

There was a long wait of nearly 10 months and I've been such a emotional wreck. I know every woman in this world has gone through the same experience and mine is not the 1^st of this world. But in my case, it was most amazing experience of my life till the date. It was like to get one more chance to live and feel the joy to be alive.

People almost everyday gazed to my belly and even ask in those last months of pregnncy if I am due with twins!! I was 82 Kg. I had that BIG belly and working 9-5 till the final day of checking into the hospital was the toughest part of my pregnancy. Yes, i have the perfect partner to share my woes and worries and he cared for the little needs of my life then, it was still tough due to the large belly i had. I had to manage. Manage to cope with the changes in body, manage to work with large and difficult body (having very friendly workplace also is not enough) and go errands of life in swelling feet , manage to be happy within for the sake of child.

I checked into the hospital on 28^th July 2011 and i witnessed the real face of the Delivery room for the first time in my life that i busted into tears due to constant fear. Those Internal check ups in almost every ½ an hour, sound of heartbeats of many babies i heard while doctors were checking them and the FEAR for what's going to happen next was making me Worse. Literally Sick. 

And there came those frightful 12 hours of Non stop Labor Pain. What i felt at that is I was not able to cope with the Labor. Not to mention i did manage to irritate all the nurses and doctors with loud cries and begging help with everyone. Poor Me. However i listened to music when i was stressed, i did Pregnancy Yoga in the morning (every morning till the delivery date), and I made sure I ate right for the baby; Nothing in this world can make you sure of easy delivery. I have been through various websites and blogs since my pregnancy. It helped to make me calm, patience, easy and i started to love myself. It was helpful but i did know little that experience is far more different than whatever i had studied in pregnancy books.

But again, my darling baby refused to be born even in 12 hours of unforgettable labor, Doctors decided to choose the C-section for me. Frankly speaking, i was relieved to hear so. I was almost ready within minutes for the surgery and at 8:47 PM of 29^th July 2011, I did manage to hear a beautiful bundle of joy crying and trying to make me aware of her presence. I was surprised; in spite of my heavy weight she weighed just 3.2 Kg.

And at the very time, i forgot all my worries 'coz i was waiting for the moment. It was my Re-birth as a person and as a human being. For me, I love my Mom even more with every passing second of my life. The experience changed me for ever. When i realized, I was completely a new Person. :-)

How to make Mint Green Color work

While going through the colour for the summer and Monsoon, i am fascinated towards the Mint Green this time around. Remember my post for the 'Coral' color ! While Coral is trendy and bright for the decor as well as wardrobe; Mint Green provides us the calmness that is needed in the summer season. Many of us are still not aware of the color. When it's close to Green and similar to light Blue, then it's Mint Green. I dont know why it was named after Mint as it's way too different from the color of Mint. Forget it ! we are just interested in the effect of the colour and not in the name.

Mint Green is not too vibrant and has that 'soothing effect' to the eyes. Not only in Decor and Interior of the home, Mint Green is the 'it' color for the fabrics we use for the clothes and even the furnitures ! Come and flow with the Spring Summer colour : Mint Green.

• Always seek for some bright hues like coral, red, orange, Fuchsia while making combination with Mint Green color.
• Mint Green is also the pastel one but little colorful than plain pastels (however i like pastels too.)
• Mint Green can be used even in winter season in the form of blazers, jackets,stole or scarves.
